Sustainability

PIPERS International products come with the following guarantees:

1. Socially conscious – ethical manufacturing is practiced both in Australia and Overseas. Throughout all of our suppliers Pipers inspects all aspects of suppliers business including labour hire, raw material quality, manufacturing standards and much more!

2. Compliant – Each product has been carefully designed in Australia by Pipers expert R & D team, overseen by Managing Director Nick Boutros who has more than 40 years experience in the industry. In addition to design, our first and foremost compliance concern is to exceed Australian Standards. Here are some of the compliance standards Pipers tick off:

a) We use one of two types of safety glass in any area where there are risks: Grade A – Toughened & Laminated Safety Glass. These are covered by Australian Standard AS/NZS 1288 for installation and safety and AS/NZS 2208 detailing test requirements. The minimum thickness of framed toughened glass (Grade A) is 4mm. The minimum thickness of partly framed and frameless toughened glass is 6mm.
b)    Use a qualified installer & do not compromise on quality fittings
c)    Maintain specific Shower Screen, Splashback, Glass, Glazing, Aluminium licensing Nationally. NSW fair trading license no. 285988C. Queensland Building and Construction Commission No. 1308929. In Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania Pipers hold all compliance standards as required by the building code. This is important as it means we can give you authorised documentation to get it passed by a building inspector should it be required.

3. Backed by expert service – if there is one thing many learn whilst building it’s plan plan plan! We also say measure twice, make it once! There are many options on the market today, however handling glass comes with many trade practices that take our installers & sales managers many years to develop. Call and speak to an expert if you are unsure what product might be best for you. Sometimes functionality might take precedent over design, be sure to tell us if you have any required functions.

4. Local Business – whilst some of Pipers manufacturing is completed overseas, we also produce products in our facilities in Campbellfield, Victoria. Should you require spare or replacement parts for our showers & products we will be able to assist you promptly. We pride ourselves on having repeat customers coming back to us after 30 years from when they first purchased something; Pipers committment to the community is highlighted throughout all areas of the business.
